What is a youth initiative for inexperienced employees at Nestlé?

At Nestlé, the company is determined to develop the skills and experience they need to find a job or start their own business. The goal is to help 10 million young people around the world gain economic opportunity by 2030. To achieve this, they focus on three key areas:

1. Employability:

Determined to help young people develop the skills that allow them to find work through our activities organized into 4 pillars:

Orientation (orientation and preparation of young job candidates through talks in educational institutions, participation in virtual and face-to-face job fairs, employability workshops, alliances with technical schools, student visits to our factories, distribution centers and offices).

Promotion of employment (direct and indirect employment opportunities for young people between 18 and 29 years of age).

Training (possibility of professional practice through our projects: My First Opportunity, Internships, Development of Young Talents).

Provide opportunities (form alliances with government and NGOs, clients and suppliers to expand the impact of the program).

2. Agricultural Entrepreneurship:

Help inspire, empower, and empower the next generation of agricultural entrepreneurs by giving them the knowledge, skills, and entrepreneurial spirit they need to run their businesses in the 21st century. Farmers will grow the raw materials we need to make our products.

3. Entrepreneurship: use entrepreneurship to discover and train young entrepreneurial talents. This helps to reach new markets and consumers. They are the innovators who will find solutions to tomorrow's business challenges.

Nestlé Internship Program

The Nestlé Internship Program is a program for young students to develop in different areas according to their abilities and interests. The objective of the program is to train young people at the beginning of their career through the different workshops that we carry out, allowing them to acquire new tools and knowledge that facilitate their development.

The program is based on 4 axes, in each of which several workshops and activities are developed: learning to learn, influence skills, analytical and critical thinking, reasoning, problem solving and ideation.

Sustainable Management Program for Dairy Companies

Together with Australian universities, we launched the Sustainable Dairy Management programme, which aims to help young people find work or start a business. It will help build prosperous and resilient communities and support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Farmers will grow the raw materials we need to make our products. Therefore, the focus of the program is the dairy industry and its sustainable business possibilities.

YOCUTA (Young Culinary Talents)

The program is a company-wide initiative to train young culinary students and equip them with the tools to prepare them for success in the jobs of the future. In Argentina, more than 175 students were trained.

The program consists of two modules. In the first part, young people are trained by Nestlé employees, where they learn about the food industry, nutrition and other tools that help them integrate into the world of work, such as CV training or interviewing.
